Changes

Lots has been going on in our household the last month!

First, Peighton is no longer a baby. She is a crazy toddler with a ton of energy, a smirk to tell you she is testing you, a laugh that is contagious and THE best hugs. Ever.

Whenever we sneeze, she tells us "Bless you". :)

Coaching is over until August. The last few weeks have been extremely stressful as I have to say goodbye to some great girls and families. No evening practices until the last week of July and no games on the weekends until August, so I am looking forward to more family time.

The biggest news and change is that I got a job! A really good job! Andy and I have been quite stressed and nervous about me going back to work, but we are thankful that this position came up. I am now the Wellness Director for a large school district. I work mostly on the preventative side in trying to get employees fit and lower their insurance risks. Great excuse for me to be healthy and lead by example!
During the summer, I work 4 ten hour days so I am off on Fridays. This is great so  Istill get a whole day with just P and I!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Linking up with Lauren over at the little things we do!

1. My bedtime routine includes: I get home about 8:30, chase Peighton around for a minute and then put her to bed. Then I usually shower and unwind by reading, playing Words With Friends, Draw Something ect. Most nights I go to bed before Andy (10pm). He is a night owl and I need my sleep!
2. I am:  still in my PJ's :)
3. I can't stand tennis shoes being worn with jeans because I am weird. Tennis shoes are for working out. Plus I only own skinny jeans, so can you imagine how that would look?!
4. My idea of relaxation would be getting a haircut and coming home to a bottle of wine, an empty house and a new book on my Kindle.
5. If I had an extra $50, I would put it towards a new diaper bag for myself.
6. The best thing about a bloggy friend is: how cool it is to discover that often times, great minds think alike!
7. A recipe I've been dying to try is: Avocado Mac N Cheese I saw on Pinterest. http://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/stovetop-avocado-mac-and-cheese/#more-12567

Easter visits

Don't mind that Easter was almost a month ago. I am in the middle of our outdoor soccer season, and I average 6 games a weekend and practice every week night.

Easter morning we woke up and the Easter bunny left a trail of eggs from her room to the family room where her goodies were. In the future, we will do an egg hunt in the yard and the Bunny will hide her basket for her to find. Maybe next year she will be old enough to get it.

Loaded Easter basket!

I, the Easter Bunny, found some Elmo eggs and put some Cheerios and other snacks in them for her. She got quite excited when she realized there was food in them. It didn't turn out so well when we went to Andy's parents and there jelly beans in the eggs and we took them away from her :/

We then went to Mass and then headed out to Andy's parents for brunch and another egg hunt.

Right to dirt of course!

15 months

Technically Peighton isn't 15 months until the 25th, but since I have posted twice in the last two months, I thought  I would put this up now while she naps :)

Peighton is such an independent little girl. Yes, little girl; not a baby :( She enjoys going into her room and reading her books, pushing her baby around in the stroller, watching Elmo, Zoey or Rio and playing outside in the dirt. She loves collecting sticks, flowers and whatever she can find and stashes them away in piles. She often tries to eat the dirt as well.

She has 8 teeth (4 top and 4 bottom) and is getting her right top and bottom molars. She says momma, dadda, hello, hi, bye, baby, muah and what's that. She is also learning her animal noises. She does a kitty, puppy, monkey, bunny, fishy, cow and tiger. She is a smart little booger who understands what we saw. We are always asking her to give us love, wave bye-bye, show us her nose, go get her baby, book or Elmo ect.

It is so much fun seeing her catch on and take things in so quickly!

She loves her Elmo chair!

Spring time

Well, It has been almost 2 months since my last post :( Outdoor soccer practices started back up, so I am out on the fields 6-7 days a week.

We have had a crazy amount of beautiful days here in Kansas City! We have been playing in our backyard, at the park, going for runs, to the zoo and can't wait for more adventures!!

G'ma Sandy got her the picnic table for Christmas and now we eat lunch on it almost every day!

You got this run mom! Let's go!

This one makes me laugh. Lunch before swim time!

Weekly Pinterest finds

I am obsessed with Pinterest. It inspired my wedding, Peighton's first birthday party, home decor, weekly meal planning and even some work out ideas. Here are some of my favorites finds this week!

I think these are adorable and something I could make!

Peighton LOVES her books, so I know she would love looking at a book with some of her favorite people & things.

My next sewing machine project!
